The Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy
Ghost. Amen
The Lord's Prayer, or Our
Father
Our Father, Who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come; Thy
will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
Hail Mary
Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst
women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
Gloria
Glory to God in the highest
and peace to his people on Earth. Lord God, heavenly King, almighty God and
Father, we worship you, we give you thanks, we praise you for your glory.
Lord Jesus Christ, only Son
of the Father, Lord God, Lamb of God, you take away the sins of the world:
have mercy on us; you are seated at the right hand of the Father: receive our
prayer.
For you alone are the Holy
One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High Jesus Christ, with
the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen
The Apostles' Creed
I Believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth; and in
Jesus Christ, His only son, our Lord; who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified; died,
and was buried. He descended into hell; the third day He arose again from the
dead: He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God, the
Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of
Saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life
everlasting. Amen.
The Confiteor
I CONFESS to Almighty God, to blessed Mary, ever Virgin, to blessed Michael
the Archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the Holy Apostles Peter and
Paul, and to all the Saints, that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word
and deed, through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault.
Therefore I beseech blessed Mary, ever Virgin, blessed Michael the Archangel,
blessed John the Baptist, the holy Apostles Peter and Paul, and all the
Saints, to pray to the Lord our God for me. Amen.
The Angelus, said at midday.
The angel of the Lord declared unto Mary.
R. And she conceived by the Holy Ghost.
Hail, Mary...
V. Behold the handmaid of the Lord.
R. Be it done unto me according to Thy word.
Hail, Mary...
V. And The Word Was Made Flesh.
R. And dwelt among us.
Hail, Mary...
V. Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
R. That we be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
The Memorare
Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known
that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help and sought thy
intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto
thee, O Virgin of virgins, my mother; to thee I come; before thee I stand,
sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate, despise not my
petitions, but graciously hear and answer me. Amen.
Grace before Meals
Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy
bounty. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.
An Act of Contrition
O my God, I am very sorry that I have sinned against you and with your help,
I will not sin again. Amen.
The Beatitudes
Blessed are the poor in spirit; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are the meek; for
they shall possess the land.
Blessed are they that mourn;
for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are they that hunger
and thirst after justice; for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful;
for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the clean of
heart; for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers;
for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they that suffer
persecution for justice sake; for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Prayer to the Holy Spirit
Come, O Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of Thy faithful,
And enkindle in them the fire of Thy love.
V. Send forth Thy Spirit,
and they shall be created.
R. And Thou shalt renew the
face of the earth.
